Student Mentor: Outdoor Adventurous Activities

Purpose of the job: Work directly with young people, helping them to build life skills, develop healthy relationships and make decisions that are right for them. Mentors are often involved in supporting and setting up projects. To ensure safeguarding and support of students. To communicate with families including parents, guardians and carers as required.

Mentor specialism:

  • Experience of instructing outdoor activities and hold NGB awards (to include BC Sheltered Water Coach, MTB Level 2,BELA, RYA Instructor etc)
  • Comprehensive understanding and extensive experience in delivering high quality outdoor learning experiences
  • Understanding of theories and methods to enhance learning in the outdoors
  • Positive and solution focused attitude
