The Portsmouth Pull for Oarsome Chance is a unique 10km rowing challenge around the world-famous Portsmouth Harbour and raises vital funds for Oarsome Chance's work with disadvantaged young people.

Every Portsmouth Pull event sees up to six teams compete in a lap of the historic naval harbour, starting and finishing at Oarsome Chance’s HQ at St Vincent College on the Gosport Peninsula and taking in Portsmouth’s most iconic landmarks including the Spinnaker Tower, Nelson’s flagship HMS Victory, Portchester Castle and Gosport’s Millennium Bridge along the route.
The Portsmouth Pull
The Portsmouth Pull is open to anyone aged 16 or over, and no rowing experience is needed to take part - teams of up to four or five people just need to be ready to row hard and raise sponsorship for a great cause! Don't have a team, but still want to take part? That's fine too, you can join other individual participants to make up a team on the day.
All participants will be provided with rowing tips and advice and have the chance to attend special training sessions. Plus you'll know that all of the money raised will make a tangible difference to the lives of young people.
