What's an 'Oarsome Challenge'?
From fun runs to marathons, and Triathlons to abseils, there are a wide range of organised challenges we know people love to take on.
If you're tempted to take on a challenge, we'd love to become your nominated charity. In return, Oarsome Chance will pay the event entry fee*!
All we we ask is for you to raise enough sponsorship to cover the entry fee... although we hope you go on to raise a whole lot more!
Fundraising events can be immensely rewarding
As one of our fundraisers recently told us:

Great South Run
The South coast’s biggest and best running event takes place in Portsmouth over a fast and flat 10 mile route.
Spinnaker Tower Abseil
Experience an amazing adrenaline rush and take on a 100 metre descent down the side of Portsmouth’s iconic landmark, Spinnaker Tower.
The Gosport Half Marathon
Organised and delivered by the Gosport Road Runners, this is an event local to Oarsome Chance. Over 2000 runners are attracted to run this annual, 13.2 mile event from all over the south of England and beyond.
The Swashbuckler Triathlon
Want to try something more challenging?
Based in the historic Bucklers's Hard, on the banks of the beautiful Beaulieu River this New Forest based Triathlon offers a range of options, across swimming, cycling and running.
Sponsored Sky Dive
If thrill seeking is your thing, you can try a sky diving challenge!

Hambledon Hilly
Maybe you'd prefer a more family friendly fun run?
The Hambledon Hilly event includes a range of distances from 1km to 10km, suitable for 12 years and up.
