We're very pleased to announce that Unite Students Portsmouth, which provides accommodation for almost 3,000 students in the city, has chosen Oarsome Chance as its Charity of the Year.

Unite Students Portsmouth plans to take part in a number of fundraising activities, including the upcoming Karting challenge (31 Jan) and the Portsmouth Pull rowing events in the coming months. They also plan to run a series of dry rowing challenges for residents at the Unite Students managed properties in Portsmouth, including Chaucer House and Greetham Street.

Mark Grinter and Elaine Hamilton from Unite Students Portsmouth (pictured with Oarsome Chance Principal John Gillard. centre) visited our Maritime Workshop in Gosport to check out the facilities and find out more about the work we do.

Big thanks to the staff at Unite Students who selected Oarsome Chance as Portsmouth’s charity of the year by popular vote - we're looking forward to welcoming Unite Students to our fundraising events, which should also be great fun for all involved!
